I believe you have better days ahead.
about me
I have called Atlanta home since 2016. Originally from north Georgia, I moved to Athens to attend the University of Georgia where I received a degree in Human Development and Family Science. I stuck around there a couple of years after graduation to work with college students and then moved to Atlanta to begin graduate school. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University where I also completed certificates in Trauma Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. During my internships and since graduation, I’ve worked in group practice and in outpatient programs at a psychiatric hospital.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy reading, exercising, tending to my plants, and spending time with loved ones on the patio.
about the name
If you do a little research, you’ll learn Marigolds have mixed meaning. They represent new life and vitality, but they also represent grief, despair, and remembrance.
I named my therapy practice "Marigold" because it reflects the intricate tapestry of the human experience. Just like marigolds, therapy embraces the full spectrum of our emotions and life's challenges. It's a reminder that in this complexity, we find opportunities for growth, healing, and resilience.
